The Charlotte Bobcatsstink. Sorry to be so blunt, Bobcat fans, but there's really no other way of putting it. In fact, it's gotten so bad that guys like Charles Barkley and former Maryland head coach Gary Williams have gone on the record and said that the current University of Kentucky team could beat the Bobcats. That's when you know you've hit a new low.
However, in spite on the team's major woes this season, Michael Jordan says there's absolutely no way that he's going to cut his losses and sell the team if they don't improve soon. Recently, a report came out that said MJ told the team's general manager Rich Cho that he was going to sell the Bobcats in the next "three to four years" if they don't show some major improvement. But, on Sunday, he put a statement up on the Bobcats web site indicating otherwise.
"I am disturbed to hear the false report that I intend to sell my majority interest in the Charlotte Bobcats," the statement said. "I am 100% committed to building the Bobcats into a contender and have no plans to sell the team."
Translation: He's staying put. For now. But, in three or four years? Well, it could be a different story. Check back with him then. Especially if Bismack Biyombo is still the biggest name on the roster.
