There are numerous reasons that cars are not made out of wood: It could catch on fire, it doesn't provide solid protection, it could dry rot, or it could even get termites. That doesn't mean it's not fun to carve and build one, though. A German artist from Duisberg finished an exact life-size replica of a 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing. The model is perfect from the unique headlights to the distinct overhead-opening "wings" to the incredibly detailed dash. For 5,850 Euros, or $7,800, you can buy this beautiful collectible on eBay.
