Remember Bobby Petrino? Yeah, he's the guy who quit on the Atlanta Falcons before the end of the season a few years back and then ducked out without talking to his players first. A real class act! And it looks like he's up to his old tricks again.

Last Sunday, the current Arkansas Razorbacks head coach was riding his motorcycle in Fayetteville, Ark. when he veered off of a two-lane highway, crashed the bike, and had to be taken to a local hospital for further examination. At the time, his family offered up a very short statement to explain what had happened.

"Coach Petrino was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening that involved no other individuals," it read. "He is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery. Our family appreciates respect for our privacy during the recovery and we are grateful for the thoughts of Razorback fans at this time."

The only problem? According to a police report that was released yesterday, there was one other individual that was involved—a 25-year-old girl named Jessica Dorrell who was just named the "student-athlete development coordinator for football" at Arkansas. It appears that Petrino found a way to get Dorrell far, far away from the scene of the accident after it happened because, as it turns out, he's married. But that little detail came back to bite him when it turned up in the police report that was released to the public. And, as a result, Petrino has now been placed on administrative leave while the University of Arkansas tries to figure out exactly what happened before, during, and after the accident.

"I regret that I have not publically [sic] acknowledged a passenger on the vehicle," Petrino said in a typed statement last night. "I have been in constant pain, medicated, and the circumstances have come out in bits and pieces. That said, I certainly had a concern about Jessica Dorrell's name being revealed. In my press conference, I referred to her simply as 'a lady.' My concern was to protect my family and a previous inappropriate relationship from becoming public. In hindsight, I showed a serious mistake in judgement."

You can certainly say that again. If you would've just come out and acknowledged Dorrell in the first place, you wouldn't be getting ripped to shreds right now. Or, if you'd just opted for your car instead of the bike, you'd also probably be in the clear. Let this be a lesson to you all: Don't lie If you've got a jumpoff, four wheels are always better than two!
