His play on the football field as of late might indicate otherwise but it sounds like Brandon Jacobs has a real need for speed.

According to a new report, the formerNew York Giants running back who signed with the San Francisco 49ers recently took part in a high-speed luxury car caravan late last month that featured about 30Porsches, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris traveling at speeds of up to 100 MPH down the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey on the way to Atlantic City. The report also says that the cars allegedly had a police escort—the New Jersey State Police launched an investigation recently after fielding calls from concerned citizens—and that the sports cars in questions all had their license plates covered with tape.

Jacobs' lawyer Justin Schulman admits that his client was a part of a caravan that traveled to A.C. last month. But, he isn't sure if the caravan that's under investigation is the same one that Jacobs took part in. He also denies that Jacobs took part in a caravan that featured a police escort of any kind. So, you'll have to stay tuned for more details.
