The Complex-Sony Pictures 21 Jump Shot Challenge went down on February 25th, drawing a crowd of approximately 500 shooters willing to throw up their best jumper, hook, or (in some cases) granny shot for the chance to score a custom basketball. It all went down at the famed Blue Basketball Court on Venice Beach, where MC Mouthpiece worked the crowd and provided commentary on the shooters, whilst event cheerleaders (yes, real cheerleaders) got everyone involved. T-shirts and posters were available for all participants, the majority of whom were already familiar with 21 Jump Street, either from its current ad campaign or from the original TV series (more than a few people dated themselves on that one).

In the end, the winner of the day was Nick Ansom, whose five consecutive jumpers beat out the competition. But Nick won’t be the only one with a custom 21 Jump Street basketball—those who couldn’t make it to the boardwalk have until March 16th to tweet a video or picture of their craziest basketball shot to @ComplexMag, hashtag #21JumpShots, for a chance to win a 21 Jump Street branded T-shirt and a 21 JUMP STREET basketball. 21 winners will be selected, but you’ll need to follow @ComplexMag in order to submit an entry via Twitter. No videos or photos will be judged in any way—so don’t worry if the shot is ugly, just drain it!

21 Jump Street hits theaters on March 16th, and you can always check out more at http://www.21jumpstreet-movie.com/.
