One of VeeDub's goals in creating the new Beetle was to make it appeal to both genders. The cutesy one with the flower vase is, thankfully, out and this new, more chiseled bug has taken its place. While only 29% of the last generation went to male buyers, the current one is up to a much more balanced 43%.

Since 70% of diesel VWs sold went to men, analysts also expect that upcoming Beetle TDI to even out the gender balance a little more. What we want is a modern Baja Beetle.

Would you drive a Beetle?
