During the Lower Mainland AAA boys championship, Alex Vidic hit a three to give the Kitsilano Blue Demons a one-point lead with only 9.1 seconds remaining. With the clock nearly at zero, St. George's Milan Mitrovic hits the game-winning shot and gives his team the win. Or did he?
Two officials ruled that the shot was no good, while the third referee saw it another way. As a result, fans from both teams rushed the court thinking that their respective team won the game. After a couple seconds of confusion, the refs ruled that the final shot counted and the Kitsiliano crowd was in quite the awkward moment. With March Madness coming up, let this be a lesson to the fans of all participating teams: don't run onto the court thinking your team got the W unless you're 100% sure! The walk of shame can happen to anyone.
