The road to the NBA has not been an easy one for Kyrie Irving. After the death of his mother, Elizabeth, at a very young age, Kyrie and his sister Asia were raised solely by their father Drederick. But when a near brush with death almost resulted in the Irving children without both of their parents, Drederick dedicated his time and effort towards making sure the Cavaliers point guard would eventually make it to the National Basketball Association.
