A.J. Burnett is stepping out of the New York spotlight and into the back alley that is the Pittsburgh Pirates franchise. The Yankees agreed to send Burnett and $20 million to the Pirates for minor leaguers Exicardo Cayones, who plays outfield, and Diego Moreno, a right-handed pitcher. The Pirates will split the remaining two years of Burnett's contract into $5 million this year and $8 million next season. It should be interesting to see whether the heavily decreased level of pressure can serve to better A.J.'s game.
