Can you picture Kobe Bryant playing for any NBA team other than the Lakers? Probably not. He's had his chances to leave Los Angeles in the past and he's never taken them. So, we couldn't see him asking to be traded to a different squad now.

That being said, we never thought we'd see MJ in any jersey except one with "Bulls" written across the front of it. So, anything is possible. But, for the time being, Kobe says that we shouldn't expect him to play anywhere except L.A. for the remainder of his career. And he also says that he will not, under any circumstances, ask for a trade so that he can win a sixth championship ring.

"Why would I want to go somewhere else?" he asked ESPN's Stephen A. Smith last night after making history against the 76ers. "That ship sailed in [2007]. If there was ever a time I was going to move to go play someplace else, that was it. I'm not going to jump ship to chase a sixth ring, it's just not going to happen. It's going to happen here or it's not going to happen."

So, there you have it. Kobe's staying in Los Angeles. Hey, Dwight Howard, you heard that, right?
