This is the third time that Ford has simultaneously released road and NASCAR versions of the same car. The primary objective this time was to really make sure that the race car looked like a racing version of the road car. Within the confines of NASCAR, we think the design team did an admirable job. The problem is that nobody who cares enough about cars will really associate the NASCAR Fusion with the consumer Fusion. One is a fire-breathing rear-wheel drive coupe and the other is a front-wheel drive sedan. If only we could convince Ford to release a road-going RWD Fusion coupe...
