Remember when you used to throw paper airplanes as a kid? Oh, the indescribable joy of nailing some unsuspecting kid in the dome with our winged creations. OK, we're done with our mean-spirited nostalgia. But did you ever think that your throws could eventually land in the record books? Probably not.

This past Sunday, former college football player and current arena football quarterback, Joe Ayoob, got himself a world record when he threw a paper airplane an astounding 226 feet and 4 inches, which topped the previous high by 19 feet. Sidebar: You gotta love the overly enthusiastic commentary and celebration afterwards. Hey, to each their own...
