So far this season, the NBA has been, in a word, sloppy. And that's sort of to be expected. After the NBA lockout ended back in November, teams had less than a month to get ready to play a condensed 66-game season that's seeing most teams routinely play back-to-back games at least once a week. A lot of teams were also signing free agent players in the days leading up to the start of the season, meaning most squads are still trying to get comfortable with one another. However, Charles Barkley doesn't want to hear it right now. In fact, he's so disappointed with the way the NBA looks that he issued an apology for it yesterday.

"As an NBA fan, I want to apologize to the fans," he said during a radio interview. "I cannot believe how bad the NBA is right now. There are probably ten teams worth watching on a nightly basis. They have all these built-in excuses about 'It's the lockout.' Let me tell you something: If these teams played once a week, they would still suck."

Fair enough. But, does anyone else get the distinct feeling Chuck is talking directly to the Bobcats and Wizards right now?
