Yep. You read that right. Chad Ochocinco is (almost) officially dead. According to a tweet he sent out this morning, Ocho will be retiring his last name and will once again be known as Chad Johnson, beginning on July 4.

So, why's he doing it? Well, it could have something to do with a warrant that's reportedly out for his arrest. "Yes," he tweeted shortly after announcing the name change, "there's a warrant out for OchoCinco so I'm changing it to avoid jail time." Or, it could be because, you know, his name is currently Ocho-freakin'-Cinco! Either way, we're down with him changing it back. And, who knows? Maybe it'll even help him start playing like a Pro Bowler again.
