Brandon Jacobs Apologizes For Telling Gisele to "Stay Cute and Shut Up"

That didn't take long. Just one day after Brandon Jacobs came out and said that he thought Tom Brady's wife Gisele should "stay cute and shut up" instead of trying to criticize Brady's teammates in the aftermath of Super Bowl XLVI, the Giants running back is saying he should have bit his tongue when he was asked about her.

"Given the fact that it's a colleague of mine's wife," he said during an ESPN Radio interview yesterday, "I do apologize for saying that, because I shouldn't have said that. It's his wife and I should respect that just as much as anyone else."

For the record, though: Jacobs did not take back the part about him thinking Gisele is "cute." And he somehow managed to work another shot at Brady into the mix when explaining himself there. "No question, he should take that as a compliment," he said. "If he finds something wrong with that, then that's his problem."

Just couldn't help yourself, could you, dude? Kudos on the apology, though. You won on Sunday, but it's probably not a good idea to get on Tom Brady's bad side. Now or, well, ever.

Getting on Brady's bad side hasn't yelded any backlash since 2004. And the Giants should be the least afraid of Tom Brady.
