Four days after the fact, everyone is still talking about Blake Griffin's incredible dunk over Kendrick Perkins on Monday night. Eff the dunk of the year. At this point, it's in serious contention for the greatest dunk ever. For the record: We don't think that, but a lot of folks out there do. Griff's dunk was that sick.

So, naturally, we were all starting to get excited about what BG might have in store for the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Well, guess what? Wonder no more. Because we know what he's got planned. Are you ready for it? Are you sure? Can you handle this? Okay. At the 2012 Slam Dunk Contest, Blake Griffin is going to be doing...Nothing! That's right. Despite the fact that Griffin has made a name for himself in the NBA by putting on a slam dunk contest every night, he says that he won't be throwing down any dunks at this year's contest because he won't be participating in it this year.

"As of right now, I don't plan on being in it," he said last night. "Those dunk contests aren't my thing. I said that last year. There's a lot of guys that can put on a great show and do some good stuff...Last year was hectic and it kind of made it unenjoyable. So this year, we'll see what will happen, but I will try to tone it down a bit and get a break instead of being so busy."

Damn, homie. Really? We were expecting you to dunk over an 18-wheeler or some shit this year. Oh well. LeBron, does this make you want to reconsider what you said earlier in the week?
