Men lie, women lie, numbers don't. If that's the case, then the highly-touted Andrew Luck is definitely securing his spot as the #1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. During today's NFL Combine, Luck ran an impressive 4.59 on the 40-yard dash, posted a 36″ vertical and recorded a 10’4″ broad jump. While his 40 time is nowhere near the blazingly fast showing from Baylor's Robert Griffin III (4.38 seconds), the Stanford quarterback held his own when you compare them to last year's number one pick and Offensive Rookie of the Year, Cam Newton

Throughout the 2011-2012 NFL season, Cam was praised by everyone for the athleticism he brought to the quarterback position. However, while at the Combine, the Panthers QB ran a 40-yard dash time of 4.59, recorded a 35" vertical, and a 10’6″ broad jump. All in all, both guys had eerily similar numbers. And while it will all come down to how well Luck can throw the ball, the former Cardinal has proven throughout his collegiate career that he is as skilled of a passer as it gets. So, when April rolls around, should we waste our time telling the Colts that they are on the clock?
