Atlanta Falcons defensive end Ray Edwards is a pretty solid football player. So it's a little crazy that ever since he dated and subsequently broke up with a former stripper named Lastarya Thompson (pictured with Edwards here), he's basically been tabbed as "the NFL player who dates strippers." We're not exactly sure why—maybe it was this ridiculous painting that he had done of him and Lastarya?—but dude is getting quite the reputation for his choice in ladies as opposed to getting it for his play on the football field.
He's certainly not doing himself any favors when it comes to playing down his rep, either. Recently, he did an interview with a site called Baller Alert and was asked if he'd ever consider dating another stripper. His response? Well, let's just say he would—if it involved some divine intervention.
"I don't know," he said. "It's all about whoever God sends me. That's my outlook on those types of things."
Hmmm...We see what you were trying to say there. That you trust in God to deliver the right woman for you. But, did you just associate the big guy in the sky and strippers? Yes. Yes, you did. Is that really what divine intervention is all about? Because, if so, then count us in!
