This isn't Mike and Mike in Chicago. This is Mike for Mike. After firing Mike Martz on Tuesday, the Chicago Bears looked within the organization for their new offensive coordinator, promoting offensive line coach Mike Tice. The 52-year-old has been with the Bears since 2010 as the offensive line coach after he coached tight ends in Jacksonville from '06 to '09. Tice and head coach Lovie Smith share a similar plan to get Matt Forte and the offense back to a powerful running attack with big-play pass potential.

"It will be important for us to utilize the talents of our players and exploit matchups each Sunday," Tice said. "We have athletes we can build with. I feel fortunate Lovie has placed the trust in me to help move us forward to a championship."

The promotion is part of a reconstruction that also included firing long-time GM Jerry Angelo. The Bears willing be hiring a new a passing coordinator to work with the quarterbacks and a new offensive line coach to replace Tice.
