It's lookin' pretty ugly for New Orleans.

Eric Gordon will be missing from the New Orleans Hornets starting lineup for at least two, if not three, more weeks. Gordon, who has been sitting out since Jan. 4, will continue to rest his injured knee, leaving a gaping hole in the Hornets' scoring pool. Coincidentally, Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears reported that the NBA gave Hugh Weber and Dell Demps the okay to discuss a four-year extension with the young shooting guard. Gordon has averaged just over 18 points during his career and seems to be ready to be the centerpiece of a team, but his injuries have consistently gotten in the way over the past few years. Even if the Hornets are willing to take a chance and offer him a long-term deal, he hasn't given any indication that New Orleans is where he wants to stay.
