A major issue faced in trying to increase cycling infrastructure in densely populated cities has always been finding safe and easily accessible spaces to store bikes. Bike Hanger is an urban bicycle storage facility solution designed by the team at Manifesto Architecture, presented at the 2011 4th Annual Gwanju Design Biennale in South Korea. Bike Hanger makes use of a pedal-powered pulley system, holding 20-36 bikes in it's vertically designed storage space. The environmentally friendly bike hanger comes at a lower cost than more traditional models and may be the future of urban bike storage.
