Athletes pretty much have it all. They're in great shape (well, except these guys), they're paid, and they've got all the fame in the world. So, when ballers get into new relationships it's no surprise that they may look for someone with those same qualities. That's the reason is why athlete-on-athlete hook-ups are so common. The latest example being Alex Rodriguez hooking-up with former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson (and yes, wrestling is a sport dammit!).

But A-Rod and Wilson are just the latest in a long history of athlete couples dating back to the '70s. We've done a round-up of these couples and what they're potential offspring could (or could have) grown up to be. Chris Evert (Tennis) and Jimmy Connors (Tennis)

Two of the greatest American tennis players to ever play the game took the media by storm when they began dating in the early '70s and planned a wedding for November of 1974. Unfortunately, their relationship ended before then and Connors ended up marrying Playboy playmate Patti McGuire in 1979. Can't say we blame dude but just think: between Evert's 18 Grand Slams and Connors holding down the top ranking for 160 consecutive weeks, these two could've produced one hell of a tennis baby.

Potential Offspring: The male or female responsible for finally putting American tennis back on the map.

Miss Elizabeth (WWE) and Hulk Hogan (WWE)

Wrestling fans know that the late Miss Elizabeth was Macho Man Randy Savage's girl both publicly and privately, as the two worked together for years and were married from 1984 to 1992. But there have been rumors that Macho Man's friend-turned-foe Hulk Hogan may have had an affair with Miss Elizabeth. A point which The Ultimate Warrior touched on in this video released after Macho Man's death last year.

Potential Offspring: Had this rumored affair produced a love child, we're thinking he or she would grow up to be the real-life product of Vince McMahon's wet dreams. Just think of all the story lines dude could come up with given that kid's background.

Gabrielle Reece (Volleyball) and Laird Hamilton (Surfing)

Gabrielle Reece has won the Beach Volleyball World Championship and appeared in Playboy, so it's safe to say she's wifey material. That's exactly why Laird Hamilton put a ring on it way back in '97.

Potential Offspring: Someone who's infinitely cooler and always has a better tan than your kid.

Ronaldo (Soccer) and Milene Domingues (Soccer)

Fat Ronaldo is one of the most decorated footballers in soccer history having played in 98 international matches for Brazil and scoring 62 goals. His ex-wife, Milene, doesn't have nearly as much success but did spend 12 years playing professionally. But does it really matter how she played if she looks like this? Yeah, leaving that in 2003 only to get caught trying to pick up lady-boys at the club a few years later is definitely a fail.

Potential Offspring: First tranny to ever play in the World Cup.

Andre Agassi (Tennis) and Steffi Graf (Tennis)

After a failed marriage with Brooke Shields (how you fail on that one, we have no clue), Andre Agassi began dating Steffi Graf after they both won at the 1999 French Open. The couple married in October of 2001 and they have two children. When it comes to stats on the court, Graf most definitely wears the pants in this relationship as she holds 22 Grand Slam singles titles compared to Agassi's eight.

Potential Offspring: A kid who wins 30 grand slam singles titles and goes down as the GOAT tennis player when it's all said and done. Only potential downfalls are they may get busted for meth and rock a terrible hair weave.

Anna Kournikova (Tennis) and Sergei Fedorov (NHL)

You know things are bad when your ex denies being with you all together. That's pretty much what happened when Anna Kournikova denied marrying Sergei Fedorov in 2001 and later divorcing in 2003. Sergei said they definitely did, while Kournikova's reps have always said it never happened. Fedorov won three Stanley Cups and a couple Olympic medals in his career while Kournikova never won a thing besides being one of the hottest tennis players of all time.

Potential Offspring: Had these two ever had a child we could look at Fedorov's accomplishments and say that their child would be a successful pro athlete, but we're going a different route and say their kid would grow up to be a scandalous celeb of sorts. Whether or socialite or some B-list actor who gets in bar fights, the young'n would stay in the tabloids.

Mia Hamm (Soccer) and Nomar Garciaparra (MLB)

The all-time international goals leader in U.S. history and former All-Star shortstop were married in 2003 and gave birth to twin girls in 2007. Between the two of them, they've appeared in four Olympic competitions and Hamm helped the U.S. Women's team win the World Cup in 1999.

Potential Offspring: Those two girls will be All-American athletes, just look at the resumes of their parents and you'll see why.

Amanda Beard (Swimming) and Carl Edwards (NASCAR)

Amanda Beard met NASCAR driver Carl Edwards at the California Motor Speedway on Labor Day weekend 2004, Beard had just won a gold medal at the Summer Games in Athens. The two continued to date for a couple years before splitting up. Both have since gotten married, Beard to a photographer and Edwards to a doctor.

Potential Offspring: Had they stuck together we'd say their child would create their own brand of widely successful amphibious vehicles. Yeah, your Benz is cool, bro—but can it cross the Atlantic?

Jennie Finch (Softball) and Casey Daigle (MLB)

Jennie Finch is easily the most recognizable softball player in the sport's history having won both silver and gold Olympic medals while pitching for team U.S.A. Her husband? Well, he has spent most of his career playing in Triple-A. His MLB career record of 3-4 with an ERA of 7.16 is quite embarrassing when compared to his wife's many accolades. This couple has two sons.

Misty-May Treanor (Volleyball) and Matt Treanor (MLB)

Your wifey goes to work in a bikini, has a couple gold medals, and is half of the winningest female volleyball duo of all time (not to mention caked up off endorsements). And you have a total of 16 career home runs and 119 RBIs in eight seasons. Yeah Matt Treanor, you're winning.

Potential Offspring: Owner of a Triple-A baseball team that comes up with the most successful minor-league gimmick in baseball history: An all-female bikini-clad baseball team.

Marion Jones (Track and Field) and Obadele Thompson (Track and Field)

It's one thing for couples to stick together through tough times, but Barbadian Olympian Obadele Thompson began his relationship with Marion Jones just as the former track star was beginning to get exposed as a steroid user. Only eight months after marrying in February of 2007, Jones admitted to committing perjury during the BALCO investigation and was subsequently sentenced to six months in prison. The couple has since given birth to two children.

Shaun White (Snowboarding) and Sasha Cohen (Figure Skating)

At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Shaun White put on for his country by bringing home the gold medal at half-pipe competition. In an interview following the event, White let it be known that he was trying to get at fellow Olympian Sasha Cohen. "I'm hoping Sasha dates gold medalists," said the Flying Tomato. We can't blame dude for trying to lay pipe, Sasha is one of the hottest Olympic figure skaters of all time. The two met at an Olympic victory party but nothing really developed. At least not publicly.

Potential Offspring: The first figure skating-snowboarding crossover athlete to bring home gold at the Olympics.

Malia Jones (Surfing) and Luke Stedman (Surfing)

Before marrying Luke Stedman in 2007, Malia was previously married to surfer Conan Hayes. Stedman and Jones had a son they named Spike back in 2009 but have since split up. Malia was most recently linked to Hawaii Five-0 actor Alex O'Loughlin. This girl just loves dudes who have long boards and don't mind getting wet. Ayo!

Potential Offspring: Exactly what Michael Phelps would be like if he took up surfing rather than swimming. Bong hits and all.

Laila Ali (Boxing) and Curtis Conway (NFL)

Having Muhammad Ali as your father-in-law may seem quite intimidating, but that didn't stop former NFL wide receiver Curtis Conway from officially making Laila his wifey back in July of 2007. Since then, the couple has had a son and a daughter. With Laila's career record of 24-0, including 21 knockouts, we're pretty sure Curtis will avoid the typical types of fuckery that go down in celeb or athlete marriages. In other words, that "Kobe shit."

Potential Offspring: One person you do not want to fuck with.

Candace Parker (WNBA) and Shelden Williams (NBA)

In some shit straight out of Love & Basketball, the lovely Candace Parker and the atrocious Shelden Williams married in November of 2008. The WNBA MVP gave birth to a baby girl on May 13, 2009. Today, Parker is an Olympic gold medalist and Williams rides the pine in New Jersey.

Potential Offspring: Thank God they had a girl because any male with Shelden's genes would be destined to become a scrub in the NBA. Scratch that, given the rep of his pops, he probably wouldn't have even made it that far. We'll be looking for their daughter to enter the WNBA right around 2031.

Aaron Ross (NFL) and Sanya Richards (Track and Field)

As a rookie in 2007, Aaron Ross helped the Giants on their Super Bowl run by starting at cornerback throughout the playoffs and during Super Bowl XLII. His wife, Sanya Richards picked up gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing while competing in the Women's 4 x 400 metres relay event for team USA. Ross and Richards solidified their winning combination by tying the knot in February 2010.

Potential Offspring: An athlete with the fastest 40-time in NFL combine history.

Maria Sharapova (Tennis) and Sasha Vujacic (NBA)

SMH, yet another example of an amazing (looks and athletics-wise, folks) female athlete getting with a scrub male athlete. Maria Sharapova is one of the world's most-recognized female athletes who's won three Grand Slam singles titles and has been named Forbes' Highest Paid Female athlete twice (2007 and 2011). Now, Sasha Vujacic? He's most known for his fails as a Laker and slipping into irrelevancy after being traded to the Nets and later leaving the league all together. All those facts just make it even crazier that these two got engaged in October of 2010.

Potential Offspring: A born winner. Though we love to hate on Vujacic, there's no denying the two rings he won with the Lakers and Maria's accomplishments speak for themselves. Whether they're the MVP or riding the bench, their kid will win a few chips in their career.

Ana Ivanovic (Tennis) and Adam Scott (Golf)

The Serbian tennis hottie and Australian golfer have been dating off an on again for a few years. Unlike some celebs, they're both actually pretty open with the relationship and Scott has even given interviews commenting on their break-ups and reunions. Scott has yet to win a major and Ivanovic has one Grand Slam but her game has faltered a bit over the last few years.

Potential Offspring: If they do stick together and have children, we're imagining they'll have a level-headed kid who will pick up some expensive-ass sport. Tennis? Golf? Polo? #ballsohard
