White Sox Trade Carlos Quentin to Padres

Apparently, the Carlos Quentin trade talks weren't dead at all. The White Sox slugger, who hit 24 home runs and drove in 77 last season, was traded to the San Diego Padres for right-hand prospect Simon Castro and left-hand prospect Pedro Hernandez. A California native, Quentin should add some much-needed offense to a Padres team that ranked 28th or lower in runs scored, batting average, on base percentage, and slugging percentage in 2011.
