The legend continues. Tim Tebow passed for two touchdowns and over 200 yards, and led the Broncos to yet another last minute victory in Minneapolis. Tebow is 6-1 as a starter this year, and Denver is tied with the Raiders for first in the AFC West.
Miami Dolphins 34, Oakland Raiders 14
The first place Raiders traveled to Miami and laid an absolute turd, losing by 20 in a game that wasn't even that close. The Raiders trailed 34-0 entering the 4th quarter, and lost the time of possession game to the Dolphins by nearly 2 to 1.
New England Patriots 31, Indianapolis Colts 24
Bibi Jones' pal Rob Gronkowski caught two Tom Brady touchdowns and the Patriots escaped with a W despite being outgained by the lowly Colts. Indianapolis trailed 31-3 entering the 4th quarter, but staged a furious but fruitless comeback behind quarterback Dan Orlovsky, who finished with 353 yards passing.
Tennessee Titans 23, Buffalo Bills 17
Chris Johnson played like Chris Johnson for the second week in a row, and Tennessee continues to hang around the edges of the AFC playoff hunt with a victory in Buffalo. CJ2K rushed for 153 yards and two first half scores. The Bills lost for the fifth straight week.
Pittsbrugh Steelers 35, Cincinnati Bengals 7
The Steelers swept the season series with the Bengals in convincing fashion, winning their third straight and dealing a serious blow to Cincinnati's playoff hopes. Pittsburgh erupted for 28 points in the second quarter, including two Rashard Mendenhall touchdowns.
Carolina Panthers 38, Tampa Bay Bucanneers 19
Cam Newton had a monster day in Tampa as the Panthers won their second straight, handing the Bucs their sixth straight loss. Newton rushed for three scores and passed for a fourth, as Carolina scored early in the first quarter and never trailed.
Kansas City Chiefs 10, Chicago Bears 3
In a mistake-filled game in Chicago, the Chiefs bested the Bears on the strength of a first half Hail Mary. Chicago quarterback Caleb Hanie followed up his poor performance in his first career start in Oakland last week with an even worse showing today, throwing three picks.
New York Jets 34, Washington Redskins 19
Shonn Greene rushed for three touchdowns and Mark Sanchez played mistake-free football for a Jets win at Washington. Rex Grossman threw an interception and finished with an ugly 41% completion percentage for the Redskins.
Houston Texans 17, Atlanta Falcons 10
The Texans won their sixth straight, and ensured the franchise's first winning season with an impressive win against Atlanta. Houston third string quarterback T.J. Yates, pressed into action after Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart went down with season-ending injuries in the last two weeks, was efficient and played error-free football, and Texans running back Arian Foster finished with 111 yards rushing and a score.
