Welp, that was a pretty wild college football weekend. By the numbers: Two epic games involving the top 3 teams in the country Saturday night; one controversial BCS listing released Sunday evening; one storied program disgraced as the weekend progressed. We'll leave the latter alone in these rankings, as for the games on the field, we argued on Friday that college football is better than the NFL because, among other things, its regular season is really, really important. And even if the AP poll and the BCS want to undermine that by ranking one-loss teams ahead of undefeated squads, we're sticking to our guns. Alabama lost at home Saturday night, so we've dropped them to No. 6, behind undefeated Stanford and Boise State, as well as one-loss Oregon, who lost to LSU on the road to begin the season.
