Andrew Greene, the University of Virginia Sustainability Planner, noticed that "students had a high need of simple repairs, such as air to pump up a tire, but because they were not able to get these repairs, they were not using their bicycles." Yup, college students are still poor. Their even the bikes are beaters.

In response to this, UVA is now providing repair stations that offer simple tools like screwdrivers and wrenches and a tire pump. Sounds like a great way to keep the student body on wheels.
