President Obama Admits He's Heartbroken Over The NBA Lockout

Even the President can't believe the league is canceling games.

None

In the grand scheme of things, the NBA lockout is a relatively small problem that the country has to deal with. Is it putting thousands of Americans out of work? Yes. Would it be ideal for the players and owners to work out a new CBA as soon as possible? Of course. But, is the country going to go down the tubes thanks to a few cancelled pro basketball games? Eh, probably not.

But that doesn't mean we're not upset about it. And, according to a report, that doesn't mean President Obama isn't upset about it, too. At a fundraiser that he attended in Orlando with Magic star Dwight Howard recently, the Prez admitted that he's "a little heartbroken that the NBA season is getting delayed." He also revealed that he discussed the lockout with Howard backstage and said that he hopes to see NBA players back on the court "soon."

Hmmm...Any chance we can get you to give David Stern a call, Mr. President? Maybe that will do the trick and force everyone involved in this giant mess to get their acts together a little more quickly than they are right now. Just a thought. [via Pro Basketball Talk]
