Mazda tweeted the following today that they are "zealously working on new models to house the next-generation rotary engine." No doubt this will be a sports car and we can all just rest easily waiting for it. It would be sad if there was no rotary sportcar in Mazda's line-up. The Mazdaspeed3 and MX-5 are cool and all, but the Wankle has it's own niche in our hearts. The next rotary engine will feature Skyactiv technology as well.
