We love Allen Iverson. You love Allen Iverson. Hell, just about everyone who has been a fan of the NBA over the course of the last 15 years loves Allen Iverson. Or, more appropriately, loved Allen Iverson. Thing is, the guy didn't play in the NBA at all last season and the last time we actually saw him play for an NBA team, the Philadelphia 76ers, he wasn't very good. Yet, AI is still talking about trying to make an NBA comeback provided the lockout ends, well, ever. And he doesn't care if that comeback comes for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Sacramento Kings, the Los Angeles Clippers, or even the Toronto Raptors. He just wants another shot.

"I'll play for anybody," he told Yahoo! Sports yesterday during an interview to help promote his Las Vegas Superstar Challenge, which is a four-team tournament set to take place on November 12 and 13 featuring top-flight talent like Kevin Durant, Paul Pierce, Joe Johnson, and Amar'e Stoudemire. "Hopefully, one squad will believe in me and we will go from there. That would be a lot better than having to go overseas."

Hmmm...You're 36, son. You've got a terrible reputation around the league. And, didn't you take this same approach of "I'll play for anyone!" when you signed on to play for the Memphis Grizzlies a few years back? How'd that turn out? Um, yeah. Good luck, but we just don't see it happening... [via Yahoo! Sports]
