Often times the biggest fights for boxers come outside of the ring. The latest example comes from former six-division world champion Oscar De La Hoya. In a recent interview with Univision, the Golden Boy admitted to some shocking struggles since his retirement in 2009. De La Hoya— who entered rehab back in May— said he regularly abused alcohol and cocaine and even contemplated suicide during the last two years. The Golden Boy Promotions founder also admitted to having numerous extramarital affairs. Damn. We're glad De La Hoya didn't end up going down the same tragic route of many other boxers who committed suicide and wish him all the best in his recovery. [via Yahoo! Sports]
