Texas is uppping speed limits across the board. Many areas are being raised from 60mph to 75mph and the state maximum has been raised to 85mph. Studies have to be done before speed limits are raised, but studies have consistently shown that raising speed limits evens out the flow of traffic, thereby reducing accidents. What this means is that Texas is not only going to be a lot more fun to drive across, but it will be safer as well.
