Prominant wheelchair manufacturer Mavic has launched a brand new line of road helmets which they had on display earlier this year at the world's biggest cycling tradeshow Eurobike. The collection includes the Plasma ($180), Plasma SLR ($225) and Synchro ($125) models. The helmets were first displayed to the public there after 3 years of research involving 2,500 participants in a "head shape study." The French company placed their emphasis on fit and comfort instead of a lighter weight, with the helmets weighing in at 300 grams each.

The helmets have an ergohold retention system equipped with ergofit one-piece padding. The company produced their line with an ergofit in mind, meaning all their helmets are available in small, medium and large sizes that should suit almost all head shapes between them.
