With his latest film Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol currently in post-production, movie star Tom Cruise was granted the rare opportunity to get behind the wheel of a a Formula One car that boasts 850bhp. Cruise took the Red Bull racer for a 2.5 mile spin on Southern California's Willow Springs circuit. After a few warm-up laps teh actor managed to reach an impressive speed of 181mph. Commednting on the experience Cruise said, “It’s so smooth that thing is unreal. I was just really getting a feel for the braking a little bit, I was like alright. That was so much fun.”
The F1 Red Bull racer will see competitive action when it goes to Austin, Texas next year at Circuit Of The Americas.
