If you told us "I'm going to put a 2.0l inline four in an Audi A8" we would call you a bloody idiot. If you said the same thing and added "and then I'll put an electric motor in it" we'd just look at you skeptically. That's exactly what the intelligent engineers at Audi have done though, so there must be something to it. The A8 hybrid is powered by the 207 horsepower TFSI engine which is supported by a 50 horse electric motor.
This limo may get 36.75 miles per gallon, but Audi's not saying how long the 0-60 sprint will take, and we're guessing it will have to be measured with a lunar calendar.
