Ray Horton is definitely one of the NFL's good guys. While serving as the Steelers' secondary coach for the last few years, Horton developed a friendship with a cafeteria worker named Maurice Matthews, who always asked the coach when he'd be allowed to drive his prized 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL500. "You can't afford the gas in it," Horton used to tell him.

But when Horton accepted the defensive coordinator job with the Arizona Cardinals back in February, he made it a point to stop and say goodbye to Matthews. And he did him one better as well. He asked Matthews to borrow whatever money he had in his pocket, and when he pulled out a $20 bill, he said, "Sold for $20," and handed him the keys to the Benz. "It's just taking care of guys who took care of you," Horton said.

Now that his generosity is out in the open, we're sure Horton is being well taken care of in Arizona. [via Shutdown Corner]
