Shots Fired! The San Diego Chargers Still Hate Eli Manning

Isn't time supposed to heal all wounds?

Didn't Chargers general manager A.J. Smith see Eli Manning's totally awesome performance in Football Cops recently? Apparently not! Because he's still refusing to bury the hatchet with Peyton's little brother seven years after he forced San Diego to trade him to the New York Giants during the 2004 NFL Draft after he was selected with the No. 1 overall pick—despite the fact that the move eventually landed the Chargers Pro Bowl quarterback Philip Rivers and a handful of draft picks. In fact, it sounds like Smith pretty much still hates Manning today just as much as he did back in '04. "He was a Charger for 45 minutes," Smith said recently, "and that was too much time to be a Charger, in my opinion."

Wow. Don't you think it's time to let it go, man? [via Sporting News]
