Late last week, Los Angeles Times scribe Mark Medina wrote a piece about how the NBA lockout could affect Kobe Bryant's chances of climbing the NBA's all-time scoring list. He currently sits at number six and, according to a convo Medina had with former Lakers coach Phil Jackson last season, Kobe's got his sights set on getting at least as high as one other fellow superstar. "Michael Jordan," Jackson reportedly told Medina. But between his aching knee and the current work stoppage that'll effectively rob Kobe of time off his career if it affects all or even just part of next season, that might be impossible.

But, do you really think that's gonna stop dude from trying? Watch your back, Mike! [via Lakers Blog]
