Video: Austin Approves US Grand Prix

F1 finally returns to the USA.

The dedicated group of entrepreneurs responsible for the newly constructed Circuit of the Americas outside of Austin, TX have jumped the last hurdle on the way to hosting a Formula One race. Yesterday the Austin city council approved the event on the grounds that the average person in town for the United States Grand Prix will be spending an estimated $700 per day. While the race is currently scheduled for June 17th, it may get moved to November on account of Austin being really bloody hot in June.
