Peyton Manning Almost Starred In "Mr. Popper's Penguins"

Before Jim Carrey decided to star in the new flick, Mr. Popper's Penguins—which we're sure you're allllllll excited to check out today, right?—there was actually some talk about including Peyton Manning in the film. In a bizarre twist, the lead character in MPP was originally going to be a publicist managing the career of Manning and juggling a bunch of inherited penguins at the same time (WTF?). But apparently someone at the studio saw SpaceJam or Kazaam or one of the other terrible kiddie films starring pro athletes and thought better of it. And boy oh boy, are we glad they did.
