It’s no secret, Utah was fully engulfed in “JimmerMania,” but the Maloof Bros. were having none of it; jumping ahead of the Jazz to take Freddette with the 10th pick, so Utha had to settle for Alec Burks at 12. Yeah, right! This kid can ball and plays with a chip on his shoulder like another Colorado guard (Mr. Big Shot). His 20.5 ppg helped Colorado make it to the Final Four (if you wanna call it that) of the N.I.T. Truth is, Utah came up with this pick and (didn't have to face the pressure of drafting the hometown Jim-Boy), and can look forward to life without Jerry Sloan.

Alec Burks: I like that “Rollin’ (Remix)” with Fab and Jeezy off that The Real Is Back mixtape.

Alec Burks: Air Max ‘95s and Foamposites
What’s the most money you spent on an item of clothing?
Alec Burks: Man, I spent about $350-$400 on some Pradas. I had to grow up. [Laughs.]
What celebrity is in your Wifey Hall of Fame?
Alec Burks: Wifey? Lauren London or Keyshia Cole. Shit, I’ll be good with either one of ‘em. [Laughs.]
Current video game obsession?
Alec Burks: NBA 2K11.
Who do you play with?
Alec Burks: I rock with the Knicks because of Chauncey, he went to Colorado.
Dream ride?
Alec Burks: Oh, man. An all-blacked out Range Rover, but I don’t have Range money; I might get the Chevy Camaro first.
Coveted tech product?
Alec Burks: I’m not really into stuff like that, but I’d say my iPhone.
Favorite city to visit?
Alec Burks: I like L.A., I love the weather out there.

What does it feel like to know you’ll be a millionaire soon?
Alec Burks: It’s a great feeling. I worked hard to get here and I can’t wait for the draft.
