Nick Adenhart

AGE: 22 (August 24, 1986 – April 9, 2009)
CAUSE OF DEATH: Killed in a car accident by a drunk driver.
COMPLEX SAYS: On the night of the first start of what looked to be his first full major league season, Adenhart was killed by a drunk driver while riding with friends not far from the Anaheim Angels home stadium. Once seen as a potential first round pick, Adenhart injured his elbow in his final high school game, but rehabbed quickly from Tommy John surgery to become one of the most promising young arms in baseball. The driver that killed him blew a .19 two hours after the crash.
