Jalen Rose Auctions Off His General Lee Charger

Michigan Fab Five member raises money for the kids.

Former NBA player and Michigan Fab Five member Jalen Rose hasn't stopped scoring. Rose, who has founded the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, a Detroit preparatory school for kids in grades 9-12, is auctioning off his 1969 Dodge Charger "General Lee" to help the school open this September.

To help the auction be a bit more appealing, a few changes have been made to the fire-orange Dodge. First and foremost, the Confederate flag has been removed from the roof. As for under the hood, a few things have been added including Rose's John Handcock, as well as the signature of Bo Duke himself, John Schneider. And this isn't just some pretty replica; the car is actually one of the few surviving examples used during taping of the original Dukes of Hazzard show.

The car will hit the ebay Motors auction block on May 23rd, with a no-reserve starting bid of $45,000. Hit up your Uncle Jesse, and go get yourself a fresh car for a great cause.
