The King of Pop is now the King of the Pitch. Over the weekend, Mohamed Al Fayed—the owner of the Premier League's Fulham team—unveiled a gigantic statue of his former friend Michael Jackson outside of the stadium where Fulham plays its home games. And after a bunch of soccer hooligans expressed their dismay (and, get this, confusion!) over MJ getting honored with a statue instead of—oh, we don't know—an actual fucking soccer player, Al Fayed basically told his own fans to get lost if they don't like it. "If some stupid fans don't understand and appreciate such a gift, they can go to hell," he said. "I don't want them to be fans. If they don't understand and don't believe in things I believe in, they can go to Chelsea, they can go to anywhere else."

In other words: If you think an MJ statue has no place at a soccer stadium, where it obviously belongs, beat it! [via Dirty Tackle]
