In theory, Twitter is supposed to help athletes stay connected with fans. However, shortly after Manchester United player Darron Gibson signed up for the social networking site earlier today, he got a rude awakening: Soccer fans hate him! Okay, not all of them (a few started a #getgibboback hashtag later) but enough Man U fans talked shit to Gibson to force him to shut down his @dgibbo28 account for good. Uhhh...dueces?
