Mimmo Paladino is highly regarded in his native Italy as a world class painter and sculptor. Now, he's taken his artistic reputation even higher, having become the first person to turn a private jet into a piece of art. The Piaggio P. 180 Avanti II (pictured above) has recently been installed in Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a mecca of designer and high-class shopping.

Named "Cacciatore di Stelle", which translates to "Star Hunter", the sexy, streamlined jet is dipped in vibrant shades of blue, and covered with various symbols and shapes new and old, that make it look like some sort of crazy physics formula of flight.

The Piaggio is just one work in a collection by Paladino—now on display in Milan's Palazzo Reale—which includes over 50 pieces by him from the 1970s to the present. The jet will be on display until April 28, so if you happen to be over there shopping for Gucci loafers, don't forget to pose with it.
