Still every bit an amazing car as it was the day it first debuted, Audi's R8 has steadily been making its way into the stables of some major tuning houses, many of which seem a bit saddened by the fact that the car's detuned Gallardo engine isn't being utilized to its full potential.
The latest power-thirsty garage to express their uneasiness is Heffner Performance, who recently fitted an example of the mid-mounted V-10 with a pair of Garrett turbochargers. Tuning said and done, this intricately plumbed Audi puts out a ridiculous 725hp, measured at the wheels. It's too bad running sans-bumper is dangerous (not to mention illegal). The work looks almost too good to cover up!
