Someone Swiped Evan Longoria's AK-47 During Spring Training

It's an interesting item to bring along with you to spring training, huh?

None

When we heard that a house being rented by Tampa Bay Rays players Evan Longoria, David Price, and Reid Brignac got burglarized over the weekend, we weren't surprised to hear that the bandits made off with a large amount of shit. From a 60-inch TV and a couple of Xboxes to a couple of expensive designer watches, a handful of iPads and a laptop, the players were shacking up with more than $50,000 worth of stuff, which sounds about right for a house full of pro MLB players. What we were surprised to hear was that one of the items taken was Longoria's AK-47 rifle, which was "perfectly legal" according to the local sheriff's office but is—uhhhh?—still a pretty interesting item for an MLB player to have during spring fuckin' training! But, hey, if nothing else, we guess dudes will think twice before they try robbing Longoria again, huh? [via Off the Bench]
