Well, here's one way you can tell when your team doesn't want your services anymore. Russian soccer player Nikola Nikezic—a member of Kuban Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League—claims he was beaten by two men with guns last week who allegedly threatened to "make an invalid" out of him if he didn't agree to terminate his contract ASAP. As a result, he's written to the governing bodies of European and international soccer to try and get the contract validated again. Not for nothing, but is this really all the Knicks needed to do to get rid of Eddy Curry's contract years ago? We keed, we keed! [via ESPN]
