In the latest creepy country-ruler news, a 1977 Peugeot 504 owned by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has brought shock and awe to the auction block. The AFP reports that the 34-year-old car (barely worth a couple of thousand dollars) went for a mind-blowing 25 billion rials (approximately $2.5 million USD) in an auction aimed at raising money for Iran's low-income families. While the winning company remains anonymous, their lawyer, Mahmoud Esari states that it placed the winning bid because of a "personal interest in President Ahmadinejad and his spirit of anti-arrogance and anti-Zionism."
Now let's see what that whack-job Ghaddaffi's got.
