Like any national holiday, Super Bowl Sunday is best honored if you dedicate yourself fully to celebrating it. And by that, we don't mean watching any of the interminable, insipid, unnecessary SB pregame shows. Nope, not when you have these marquee Sunday matchups: The NHL has the Penguins visiting the Capitals (12:30 p.m. on NBC), while the NBA has the Celtics hosting the Magic (2:30 p.m. on ABC). Before both of those, however, is our pick of the day: Chelsea v. Liverpool at Stamford Bridge (11 a.m. on FSC). That's right, it's Fernando Torres' debut as a Blue, against the team he left just a week ago. Andy Carroll is sadly unable to play, but it's gonna be an epic match nonetheless. The video above should remind you what El Nino pulled off in the home debut for his last team. ESPN2: You failed for not airing this one.
Game On: Chelsea v. Liverpool, Sunday
Plus two other sporting events to watch in the run-up to Super Bowl XLV.
